Here's what I have. protected void CalculatorVariables1DropDownList_SelectedIndexChanged( object sender, EventArgs e ) { string testing = "this is a test"; } When the selected index is changed, the CalculatorVariables1DropDownList_SelectedIndexChanged event is never reached. Caching is set to -1. I have a calendar with a SelectionChanged event set and that works fine.

Hi Millertime,

Have you tried explicitly wiring up your event handler to the server control, as in:

CalculatorVariables1DropDownList.SelectedIndexChanged += new EventHandler(CalculatorVariables1DropDownList_SelectedIndexChanged);

I did try it, the event still doesn't fire.

Have you checked to make sure the autopostback is set to true? Nearly everytime I have an issue of something not firing that's my issue. :)
