Hello all,

I recently created a dnn module that runs a query from one of our databases, and displays the information to the user.  Now we are looking to expand on that a little bit.  We are looking to pass information from a regular asp page to the dnn module that I wrote.  For example The module I created deals with invoices.  What we want is to be able to type in a specific invoice number on an ASP page and the submit the form.  It would then bring up the dnn module and show that specific invoice to the user

What is the best way to go about doing this.

mjliscio,

I do basically the same thing in a lot of my projects but it’s typically from one module to another module. But with this solution there is no reason why it wouldn’t work. It seems to me that you only need to pass an integer so I would use a query string.

Take a look at this post:

and this post:

then let me know if you still have any questions.

The easiest method would be to use a querystring parameter that your DNN module looks for when it renders.

Hope it helps,

Or use session variables.
