I am wondering if anyone knows of some easy to follow beginner resources for creating flash apps that interact with the DNN database, with a focus on the creating the connection to the database

Thanks for the advice

"easy to follow beginner resources"
I wish you luck my friend!

The best I could find was this:
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/109/threadid/218201/scope/posts/Default.aspx

and

I'd be thrilled if you offered anything else to expand on this.

The Silverlight examples that I posed at:

http://dnnsilverlight.adefwebserver.com/Silverlight20/SilverlightUsers/tabid/68/Default.aspx

Should help with the DotNetNuke part. The web service code should be exactly the same (it's the same code that I use for AJAX stuff).
