Hi all, I'm considerably new to DNN module development, and having a question on form response value. Say, I have a form field having "fullname" as the field name within a module called FeedbackForm: The name and id of the field have been manipulated. Since I need to get the field value based on the name on a post-back, may I know what prefix variable I can use in order to get me the "dnn$ctr418$FeedbackForm$" and "dnn_ctr418_FeedbackForm_" manipulation? I see that ctr418 in this case may be a dynamic number specifically assigned to the module in this particular host/site? Many thanks for your help!!

Are you trying to get this in the codebehind, or with javascript calls? With codebehind you should be able to just reference the original ID. If using javascript you can write the value of that objects ClientID to the page somewhere and use it there.

Hi,

I'm having a similar question. What if I want to post to an external site? This site would expect a form field x and a form field y, instead it recieves form fields dnn$ctrXXX$NameOfScriptFile$x and dnn$ctrXXX$NameOfScriptFile$y. How do I keep that dynamic part from being added to fields? Can that be done?

Regards,

- Alex.
