i have created a User Control as a Tab controller for some aspx pages.

this Control has a list of items on the left, and an iframe on the right, whick when i click on one of the items, it changes the source of the iframe and display the page.

I have tried to build the same control as a dotnetnuke module, but i have some problems with securing pages, i mean: I only need my pages to be displayed from my control (deny access to the page/ redirect to another page if it is pasted to a browser.

is there a way to check using the tabid of the main control, or if there is a way to only alow this page to be accessed from its parent.

thanks for the help.

what you realy should be doing is to convert all your aspx pages into for instance usercontrols (ascx). That way, your module will be a real module, and it would be very easy to use the DNN security tool

from within the iframe, in code behind you have no way of knowing for sure what the parent page is (you could pass the parent tab id in the src url of the iframe). Please be aware that using aspx pages, you should also check permissions inside the aspx page, so as to non authorized users will not be able to use that file...

but in my case, i can't convert all my pages to usercontrols, because i need then to be opened within the iframe, so i only need them aspx pages.
