I created one module named products. For this i created a folder named products in desktopmodules and also in appcode. Then i modified the web config's

codesubdirectory node(I am coding in C#). While creating a new module should we follow the all steps again?

If you use App_Code approach, then what can i say is .... yes. You have to create a folder inside DesktopModules and also App_code with the same name and then registered into web.config (because of C#).

If you use Web Applicaiton Project (WAP) model, then you only have to create one step only. You don't need to add your module inside App_Code and also registering inside web.config.

But there are different approach for creating modules. You can see it here : http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/1313/Default.aspx

Try to explore Blog module about different approach.
