Hello everyone, I have created a module. I need to know what, If anything I need to do to the database to be able to

1. Store values in the settings page and then use them in the View page

2. Be able to have my page dynamically check if a role exists and create it if not. Also need to be able to have user add or remove other users from a role.

I currently have # 1 working, just curious if there are other steps that I should have done to have it how it should be.

Thank you

You can get sample code on role creation and user configuration here:

Thank you Michael. I have code that I am using for creating the role:

    If Not Roles.RoleExists(Role1) Then
                Roles.CreateRole(Role1)
                End If

However when I try to load the page I get the error:

        A critical error has occurred.
The SSE Provider did not find the database file specified in the connection string. At the configured trust level (below High trust level), the SSE provider can not automatically create the database file.

I have checked with my shared hosting company and they assure me that everything is set up properly as Medium Trust. This is why I was wondering if I needed to have something else in my code to make it properly use the database. (Which I thought it was cause I am able to store settings values)

    Thanks again

I have never seen that errror before. It appears you have a custom membership provider?
