Hi,

I am new to DNN.

There will be about 1000 accounts (because there are 1000 users).

And in each account, I would like to put specific files. (ie : each user can only see his files and not the others' files ex : user 1 cannot see the file of user 2, etc...)

Is it possible to do so with DNN ?

(FYI : I installed a module called "Documents" and I see that a given user can either see it all or not see it at all..., which is not what I want.)

Thanks you very much for your answers !

I really need them...

Hi,
What you may want to consider is creating a Documents module per person, with security/visibility handled at the module level, as opposed to the file level.

Thank you Scott for you quick answer.

The problem is that there will be around 1000 persons.

So I can't duplicate the "Document module" 1000 times...

I would like something lighter.

If you have another idée, I am very interested.

Best reegards,

You can add it once and look for the changes in the database and write SQL to add the modules based on a user list.

Or you can modify the module to dynamically load the module based on userid.

Thank you for the reply.

Have you ever heard of a DNN module that enables the webmaster to give rights to only one file ?

ie : each user can access only his/her files and not the other's files. (After having entered the login/password.)

I wonder if such a module exists.

Regards
