I am just getting my feet wet with visual studio 2.0 and I am trying to figure out where the DotNetNuke.dll is being generated from.  In the ASP 1.x version the web project was built into the DotNetNuke.dll.  I have begin reading the last few days about the new Web project model for DotNet 2.0 and I understand that it follows a dynamic compilation model.  This therefore means that web projects no longer have project files and are dynamically compiled.  It is also possible to precompile the web site into dll’s but the user does not have much control over the naming of these dll’s.  I also noticed that when I rebuild the DotNetNuke solution the DotNetNuke.dll is not being updated.

with that being said …..how is the DotNetNuke.dll being built?  Is it being built using Nant and the DotNetNuke.build file perhaps?

Thanks

Bert

oI figured this out.... for anyone that is interested......for whatever reason when I first built the solution it did not update the DotNetNuke.dll....either that or I am crazy...

I noticed after I had built the solution at a later time the DotNetNuke.dll was updated, I tracked down the source of the dll to the Library.DotNetNuke  project....this whole file based web project thing is going to take me a bit to get used to.  since their is no project file for the web site compilation settings are now stored in teh web.config under compilation....
