Hi all

I have been building a component based on the "LinqThings4Sale" module on http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/LinqTutorial/LinqTutorial5.htm.

All was going well and I built my control with no errors. I even created the module definition with no problems but when I add the module to my web page I get the below error. I am new to DNN and have no idea what has gone wrong or where to look. Can some kind soul help me.

Cheers
Geoff Scott

go to Admin/Event Viewer and see what other error messages are there. There should be one that is more helpful. Also are you using the WSP (the one the tutorial is in) or the WAP format?

Hi Michael

Thanks for the reply. After much trial and error I have inched my way forward and now have a module which I can add to my page. Unfortunately, I still have quite a few problems.

When I try to debug to find out more I discover that I can't set a breakpoint where I want to because the "No symbols have been loaded for this document". how do I correct this.

[I'm not sure whether I'm using WAP or WSP. How does one tell? ]

Regards
Geoff Scott

[I'm getting an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" on the line

"Fac_Patient.UserID = Entities.Users.UserController.GetCurrentUserInfo().UserID;"]
