Hi

I started going through the DNN4 module creation tutorial (http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/DNN_Module4/DotNetNuke_module_3.htm) and did the whole pasting the SqlProvider into the DNN site and pressed execute. Things seemed to be running smoothly, until I tried to login again. Opened my DNN site and I now get the following error:

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

Cannot open user default database. Login failed. Login failed for user 'DARRYLW\ASPNET'.

What is this? How do I fix it?

I am running VWD2005 Express.

I have the same problem with DNN 4.3.2
I have completed the tutorial in http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/DNN_Module4/DotNetNuke_module_7.htm
and it worked fine then.

When trying to reopen this DDN project again I get the same error as above.
I am unable to login to this database! Can't understand why...

I used the default database, SQL express version, visual studio 5.
I am able to create a new DNN project and get it running by only pressing Ctrl-F5.

Why am I unable to login to this database?
Secuity.Loging has machine\ASPNET in MS SQL server Management Studio Express so it sould be ok or ??
Need help to solve this problem...

This is some quirky behaviour of visual studio

Open the portalAlias table (show values), make shure the portnumber is the same as the portnumber used by the debug server of visual studio

sometimes the debug server changes it's port, so you have to change dnn as wel

Thanks for your answer, but I am afraid I don't understand what to do...

the portalAlias table has the following contens:

PortAliasID PortaID HTTPAlias

1 0 localhost/DotNetNuke
NULL NULL NULL

Where do I look to see the portnumber in visual studio?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't use debugger, just enter http://localhost/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx in IE gives this error:

Error Installing DotNetNuke

Current Assembly Version: 04.03.02

ERROR: Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SqlDataProvider
