We have a few custom modules on a page.  One of the modules has started covering/hiding all of the modules that are below it so that they no longer appear.  The html for these is not sent to the browser at all.  I didn't see anything relevant in the module settings.  Any ideas?

Are you potentially inside a non-default view control of the module that is setting it to render in "edit" layout with just that module visible?

Hey Andy,

To add to what Mitch has said - if you look up in your URL when this happens - do you see "ctl" and "mid" in your query string?

Here is an example: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/ctl/PostEdit/forumid/111/postid/260789/action/reply/mid/2108/Default.aspx

When a module tells DNN to load a specific control within a specific module (as indicated by the presence of those two IDs on the query string), it loads in "module isolation" mode -> this is typically (but not always) an administrative mode for a module. Michael Washington has some good tutorials for developers on module navigation styles at http://adefwebserver.com/dotnetnukehelp

Take care,

Ian

Nope, my module isn't in Edit mode.  My module is only hiding the other modules that are positioned after it, the ones before it all show up fine.  My url is http://localhost/tabid/77/Default.aspx.  At first I thought it might be an open div or something in my module but I verified that the later modules are not being sent to the browser at all.

I think I got it.  This module has two controls without a key.  One looks like it only exists to the load the other.  When I gave it a key and left the other blank, my problems went away.
