I am wanting to retrieve a profile property from within a module.  I have defined a property called "Account" with an integer value in the user profile.  I want to retrieve the Account value for the active user in my module for purpose of using as a query parameter.  I cannot find an example of this and nothing I have tried so far has worked.  I am a newbie, so please keep your explanation or example simple.  I am a VB user.  Thanks much.

Hi Steve,

Try this code:

        Dim objUser As New Entities.Users.UserInfo
        objUser = UserController.GetCurrentUserInfo
        If Not objUser Is Nothing Then
            If Not objUser.Profile.GetPropertyValue("Account") Is Nothing Then
                Response.Write(objUser.Profile.GetPropertyValue("Account").ToString())
            End If
        End If

Hope this help

Andy,

Thanks so much.  This worked perfectly.  I had managed to corrupt my copy of DNN and had to configure the setup on my alternate installation.  With that up and running, I got to try your solution and presto, account number revealed.

Steve
