here is my case:

create a new module, add in a texteditor (dnn) into the module's update panel. install the module, set partial rendering to true for view control.

now problem, dont care what you key into the editor, the server wont be able to get the updated value.

say, you texteditor current value is "test", then you update it into "test 2". submit, and debug, it will show the value for editor.text is still "test".

After removing the update panel and set the partial rendering to false, the control now works as normal.

Can anyone suggest what may go wrong here?

Which dnn version are you on?

DNN 4.9.0 comes with a new FCKEditor provider, which contains a couple of changes.
