I have purchased a DNN module which included the source code though the DNN file with the source code relates to the compiled version.

I need to make some changes to the module to meet our needs which is also fine but cannot workout how to then compile the module. If I load the project into VWDE using the module project file it all is ok but cannot compile as it is failing to get the DNN references. If I load it in a DNN website in VWDE then files are in the wrong places etc and I have never worked out how to get the DLLs out of VWDE when working with a website rather than a project.

This does really feel like a 101 problem but has me really stuck.

please check the format of the module. It might be either compiled using VS 2003, VS2005 or VS 2008 or be an WSP module not requiring to compile.

Please note, that compiled modules for VS2005/2008 require VWD 2008 Express SP1 to compile.
