in the HTML module you can select the option "replace tags".  This replaces any tags you have put in your text/html.

the HTML module does this by calling:

Private Function ProcessTags(ByVal content As String) As String

Is it in the planning to move this code to the CORE?  As this is likly to be a function which can be used by many modules.

The current token replacement capabilities have been available as core methods since DNN 4.6 and can easily be extended to include tokens representing properties of a module's custom info classes. This blog entry from Stefan Cullmann provides quite a bit of information:

You might also look at the source code of my ContentDejour module in the DNN Forge/CodePlex for an example of extending token replacement.

Olivier,

Where did you find ProcessTags?

In HTMLModule, there are 4 lines, which actually do the replace:

Dim tr as NewDotNetNuke.Services.Tokens.TokenReplace()
tr.accessingUser = userInfo
tr.DebugMessages = Not IsTabPreview()
strContent = tr.ReplaceEnvironmentTokens (strContent)

Olivier,

I don't know whether you remember, but you once had contact with the WebOrigin office about DNN (with Hans Hubin). In the forum I already talked about Token replacement. You can find it at:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/111/threadid/272239/scope/posts/Default.aspx

If this is what you are looking for and you want more info (I made a small example in VB and C#), you can always call us if you still have our number.

Hi Sbastian,

could this not be because i'm still using version 4.5.0 of the Text/Html module?  When updating the core, it does not take the standard modules in the update?

The code you sent here is absolutely what i wanted
