I am getting up to speed with Silverlight. I am using M. Washington's great DNN site "http://dnnsilverlight.adefwebserver.com/Silverlight20/SilverlightWebservice/tabid/66/Default.aspx", the Microsoft's "silverlight.net" site and newly published books.

I followed Jesse Liberty's tutorial and produced a Silverlight WCF application.

The example modules on M. Washington's site uses Webservices (ASMX).

I would appreciate help in adding a Silverlight WCF app to DNN. All the "http://silverlight.net/" documentation and newly published Silverlight books examples are using/recommending WCF.


The differences between WCF and ASMX implementation I noted so far:

1)In J. Liberty's example, a Visual Studio Silverlight App project is the starting point. VStudio produces a different directory structure for the Web project ( no APP_CODE directory )

2) Web.config WCF additions

3) WCF files vs. ASMX files.


I would appreciate help:

1) How to create a DNN WCF module. If possible, can you use J. Liberty's example for DNN. His example has a database connection and LINQ.

2) Creating a DNN install zip package including advise for changing "localhost" references to a "real" website url.
