The scenario is that a user picks from a list of DNN Users presented (who are not necessarily in the same Roles) to send an email to them. The custom module picks up the UserIDs they select and need to send the email using Services.Mail.SendTokenizedBulkEmail method.  What is the best way to transform the given selected UserID's into UserInfo objects for the method?

Also, on a broader scale, is there a consolidated Help or documentation describing the various DNN API's available now to the custom modules?  I have not worked with DNN in a while and much has changed (and gotten easier), but I can't seem to find a "clearing house" of all of the new interfaces available to a custom module!

Hi TMC,

if you know the user's PortalID, and his UserID, you can leverage on the DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController class:

Imports DotNetNuke.Entities.Users
...
        Private Function GetTheUser(ByVal myUserID As Integer) As UserInfo
            Dim myUserController As New UserController
            Dim theUser As UserInfo = myUserController.GetUser(PortalId, myUserId)
            Return theUser
        End Function
...

There's a project on Codeplex DNNHelpSystem that is creating an MSDN like help file for helping DNN developers. I found it very helpful.

Dario, I figured the instant issue out, but thanks for the pointer on the MSDN-style DNN Compiled CHM!  I will download immediately!
