Hi all, I am working on integration of jQuery and Fancybox in DNN 4.9.1. Has someone of you guys already done this ? Are you willing to share your thoughts around this ?

With best regards,

Gunnar Snellman

Hi Gunnar,

I just wrote the following code inside the method InitializePage() in Default.aspx.cs - the main frame class for DNN page rendering:

' register JQuery API

Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptInclude(

"jquery", http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.2.6/jquery.min.js)

If you need it only for a specific skin is better not overload dnn generated pages, so, you can place this right below the last <%@Register . tag of your skin:

<script runat="server">

Private Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load

Page.ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptInclude("jquery", http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.2.6/jquery.min.js)
        End Sub
</script>

Lucas Oleiro

Hi

Well we started this fr a socal community website. But in the end i just build my own because of the fact that postbacks didnt fire correctly in fancybox

If you want to have a button that does some postback call you would need to put this button in a hiddend div and have a new html button with a javascript onclick to call the postback of the asp.net button

There were also issues with reading out the values of textboxes because of the way the html was rewritten.

If you only need it for display of html and images then there is no problem though
