Does anyone recognize why am I getting an error bellow everytime I install the module throu the portal, but when I run the whole script through Host > SQL it goes through with no errors? Every module that I have '@OrderByClause' in the script it's throwing the error through the module install page. Also if I have "...SELECT  ( Table.Field1 + ' => ' + Table.Field2 ) AS..." it would throw the error through the install page though it's a valid concatenation, and will run fine through the SQL page under Host menu.

SQL Execution resulted in following Exceptions: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Incorrect syntax near '@OrderByClause'. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception...

Thanks,

Val

Not having seen your script (particularly how you use @OrderByClause ), I'm taking an educated guess at the solution here:

Make sure that you have saved your script file with UTF-8 and not ANSI encoding as "+" and a few other characters will be stripped out of the script in the latter encoding.

William is 100% correct, the issue is with the ' and + characters and non UTF-8.  The way that the installer works relies on UTF-8

I'm trying to figure out where I can change it to UTF-8 in VWD2008 Express, the only thing I found under Options is "Auto-detect UTF-8 encoding without signature." There is nothing available under Properties when I have script file opened; for .dnn.config file I have the Encoding property and I changed it to UTF-8...

Thank you,

Val
