I've been deveoping a custom module and I have a "View" control that uses a UpdatePanel and worked great as  an administrator. But I would get the following error when a normal user who only has view rights for the module tried clicking on a button. 

Page cannot be null. Please ensure that this operation is being performed in the context of an ASP.NET request

If I give the same user Edit rights it works fine.   I would like to give the user only view rights if possible.

Any suggestions,  or has anyone seen this behavior?

Thanks William,

I changed the module default cache to 0 in the module definition, but didn't change it in the module settings.  I changed it to 0 and it did the trick.
