So I am trying very hard to understand how to develop in this CMS platform.

I have a user control (ascx) that I am trying to create a module for.. I understand how to define it properly and all but the user control has two helper classes.  What is the best way to do this.. I have in the DesktopModules folder a folder for my control called MyControl and in there I haev the app_code folder that has my .vb helper classes.  How is a person to develop a module that has helper classes and be able to debug these?

Right now when I have a use of the classes that are in these files they are erroring as "not declared"... how do I add a reference to these?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

I believe I responded to another post you made after you registered the control in the module definitions section of the site. It sounds like you are making some progress. As far as how to develop modules this book helped me a great deal: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0471788163/sr=8-5/qid=1232840126/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&qid=1232840126&sr=8-5&seller=

Also, there are many online resources that you could read. Here are a few:
