Is there any built-in way of presenting a UI to the user for specifying scheduler settings (like there is for module, you can create a Settings control). Can we do the same for a scheduler we create?

I notice there is a "ScheduleItemSettings" table in the database. However, that is empty and I could not find any way to get my scheduler settings into that table.

Also, I need PortalId (not PortalSettings) in my scheduler.

I checked out the following blog post:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/1985/DNN-Outside-HttpContext-limitations.aspx

It says we can get PortalInfo, not PortalSettings outside of HttpContext. But I need PortalId to get PortalInfo. How do I get my hands on PortalId??

no, there is no specific support for scheduler settings. you create your admin control in your module, provide scheduler settings options and create/edit/delete scheduler job appropriately using core API.

OK, but what about the PortalId issue? How can we access basic information about the current Portal (excluding PortalSettings if that is not at all possible), outside a HttpContext? Atleast PortalId is the absolute minimum. With that, we can write code to fetch other things from the database.
