I've run into an issue when using the ESRI.ArcGIS.ADF.Web.UI.WebControls.Map 9.3 control with versions 4.6 - 4.9.3 of DotNetNuke.

Create a very simple custom module with no code and just drop Map and MapResourceManager controls onto it.  Then point the MapResourceManager to your ArcGIS server and the Map to the MapResourceManager.

Next, add the custom module to a test page and enter the URL as something like http://localhost/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx?tabId=1234.  You will get the map displayed as expected.  Next enter the friendly URL that is used by default throughout the DotNetNuke navigation structures http://localhost/DotNetNuke/Test/tabId/1234/Default.aspx.  The map will be blank.

Does anybody have any idea what is causing this?

ESRI appears to use http handlers ESRI.ArcGIS.ADF.Web.MimeImage.ashx and ESRI.ArcGIS.ADF.Web.UI.WebControls.MapHandler.ashx to process the map image requests.  They show up in my IIS log with 200 codes.  I'm not sure how they could be getting confused.

Any ideas?  Anyone else running into or not running into the same problem?

Have you figured out this problem? Actually, i cannot get the simple map control to display anything with regular URLs.

I did the same thing you did, resource manager and map.

Have any suggestions?

If you are using a local ArcGIS server, don't forget to add valid "ArcGIS Identity..." to your web project. I did it and works fine.
