Hi all,

I have created a custom module which has view and edit controls.  They display a person profile for the corresponding UserID which is in the url as a querystring.

I am wanting to hide the Edit Content Link at the bottom of the View control depending on what user is logged in.  However, i cannot work out home to do this?

I suppose i could create my own link but i don't know how to remove the Edit Content Link completely?

Also, how do i remove the settings icon?

Lots of questions i am afraid - thanks in advance for your help.

Mark

The settings icon is controlled and added by the container.

The best way to show/hide edit links is by using the built in security, only grant users edit permissions that need it.  If you need to do anything more advanced, then you will need to take the link out of the implementation of IActionable and manually render the links.
