Hi,

I'm trying to customize the login - Redirect based on user role - and I need access to the method that handles the login. Where can I find the method that is triggered when the user clicks the login button? There are hundreds of pages of code and the only thing I've found so far seems to be more of a DAL instead of the code that the button is actually interacting with directly.

Anyone have any insight to where the function is that handle the login, or even which components the login uses to create it's functionality?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

Authentication UI is configurable, and therefore located outside the places where you might typically look for it.  Take a look in the DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/DNN folder.

Note that the technically correct way to effectuate the behavior you are looking for would be to package up your changes into your own custom authentication UI installation.  Doing so would ensure that your changes are not overwritten during a future upgrade.

Hope this helps!

Brandon
