I have converted approximately 13 different home grown modules in an enterprise solution for managing MS Exchange and MS LCS through MPF / MPL to function in the dnn 4.03 environment... They still continue to work properly (for the most part...)  I am however seeing one particular thing happening that concerns me...  When I set up break points in my debugger, say... one in the if(!Page.IsPostBack) check of the Page_Load event.  It appears that the page is actually loaded 2 times.

Let me explain a little further...
I hit the page that I have the breakpoint set.  The break point is hit inside of the !Page.IsPost, I run through to the end of processing.  The page shows again, and then immediately I hit the exact same breakpoint as when the page originally loaded.  I wind up running through everything again and the page will come up just fine (in most cases).

The reason I noticed this is due to some custom breadcrumbing that I have set up through out all 13 modules... It allows me to track user progress through out all of the modules, reset selections on a return through the breadcrumbs and things such as that...  I am getting issues with this now when the page performs a "double post"...

Anyone have any ideas what to look at?  I am definitely lost and have been beating my head against the wall for a week now trying to figure out what is causing this "double post" to occur...

Thanks for any suggestions / help.

James

haha, as soon as I made the post I had an epi.... epiph... an idea...

In all my cut and paste and reworking of moving the old modules to the new .net 2.0 stuff, I copied over the section: Web form Designer generated code...  Which, was registering events and one of those events was the event:

this.Load += new System.EventHandler(this.Page_Load);

It seems that the generated code is not needed for anything anymore, and if I did just a little more digging, I would have figured it out ahead of babbling on the forums ;)

Thanks anyhow..  James
