Hi,

 

I created a dnn module in C# and i was able to deploy to DNN 5.1 site.

After tat i created same module in VB.NET.i am facing the following issues.

 

1.VB.NET Module refers to Dotnetnuke.library.dll, whoch i was not able to find in root bin folder.

    I replaced the above dll with dotnetnuke.dll and it starts working fine.Is it a bug in Template?

 

2.When i deploy the module i was getting a error as <namespace>.helloworld cannot be loaded.

   Could anyone help me regarding this.

In VB.net right click your project properties and go to Application tabs. Now in your Namespace field you have to leave it blank, while in C# both assembly and namespace fields are having the same words. So why it does not work in VB.net, this is because When it is compiled, VB.net combine both assembly and namespace field as its name root.
