Hi all,

I am looking for 2 different modules, and wondered if anyone here knew if there were anything like them.

  1. More Information Module
    1. Similar to the feedback module
    2. Allow for custom data entry (text fields, drop downs, checkboxes, etc.)
    3. Allow for information to be e-mailed
    4. Allow administrators to customize what is needed
    5. Allow administrators to decide e-mail address information is sent to.
  2. Custom Data Module
    1. Similar to the User Defined Table module
    2. Admins edit / update all columns/fields
    3. Security Group 1 (Sales) sees all data
    4. Other security group (Dealers) sees a subset of the existing columns, all but 2 columns

If either of these don't exist, then I will have to create them.  I thought I would rather not re-invent this wheel at this time.  I think there might be something for the 'More Information' module, but maybe not for the custom data module.

All help is appreciated!

we are working for some time on a module, that shall cover both of your requests (and many more). We already finished your point 2: you can define custom fields as with UDT (but with additional properties. You can design your custom list, and (optionally) detail view as well as an edit form with our outstanding visual layout editor.

To hide colums or rows for specific users you can create additional modules, that reference the data source, optionally using a filter expression. You can also copy the view settings and remove fields, that shall be hidden. Moderation with email ntofication can be configured from the module settings page.

We are currently working to complete the use as a forms module and there are two more features missing (SQL table access and template handling) before the release, that shall be in a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately, due to the amount of work we put into it, it will not be free.

Have a look at the current developement state here, you can log in and test it for yourself.

Paying for them would not be a problem, as long as the price is not too bad.  Since I don't speak German, it is difficult for me to see the current state.  I am interested in these controls, and have almost an immediate need for them, so if there is a beta that I can use for now, that would be great.  I would want to know the price before I try the beta, because if it is too much, I won't be able to do it.

Thanks for the response.  I will also see what I can do with your other suggestions on the UDT.
