Hi there.

I have two identical instances of DNN 04.09.04 running on separate virtual directories on a win xp machine. Each instance contains about 20 custom modules. When I change code I build the project(s) and everything gets copied to website1 looking at database 1. Everything works fine.

When I created website 2 I copied the files from website 1, pointed the new virtual directory to it and edited the web.config (both connection strings) to point to database 2 which contains different data. I log into website 2 and I see the data from database 2 and everything is fine.

But then when I use my custom search module in website 2 it returns results from database 1!?!  But all the other modules in website 2 look at database 2. All modules get the connection string from the web.config the same way.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance. Chris

if the search module copies content during indexing, the content will be pertained, when copying the site, and maybe not cleared afterwards. clear the seach tables and check again.
