Developing a lite document management module with some workflow for a client.  In setting up the upload process I need to check to see that a filename does not already exist.  I use the FileController class and the GetFile(filename, portalId, folderid) method.  Previously I used a deprecated method that accepted the folder path.  This worked great since I had the path at that point.  So in wanting to clean up deprecation errors I am looking to use the recommended replacement.  However the folder id seems to be a bugger to get.  I can't seem to find a method that will give me that if I have a string file path.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks for any help you can provide,

Jim

Hah!  Answered my own question.

DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.FileSystemUtils.GetFolder(this.PortalId, strFolderPath);

Works like a champ.  Hopefully this helps someone else.
