I don't know the DNN architecture wel so I thought I might muscle through this change ...

I'm trying to change the font size of the register button (linkbutton - cmdRegister) ... no big deal - I thought!

I tried enbedding a font tag in the resource string- no luck

So I figured it was being overridden by a style sheet and removed the class in the ascx - no luck

So I tried hard coding the size in the control - still no luck  At this point, I wanted to make sure I wa slooking at the correct control so I stuck in some text and saved, just to see if it'd show up - It didn't.

Any advice on what I'm doing wrong will be greatly appreciated!

Here's how I made changes to LOGIN (REGISTER will be similar).  There are default classes such as class="SkinObject" for [LOGIN], but I generally don't make the change there.

Force css to make a specific change by surrounding the token in
my skin.ascx file with a div:

<div id="token01"><dnn:LOGIN runat="server" id="dnnLOGIN" /></div>

then in my skin.css file I have control by (e.g.):

div#token01 a {
color:indigo;
}

div#token01 a:hover
{
color:plum;
}

So, in other words, create a new unique id & surround each thing you want to target.
