hi all,

I try

Dim username As String = HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name

it works in Parent portal, bug fail in child portal.

Any help would be very grateful

this should work in child portal as well, please log it into the public tracker (2nd from top) at support.dotnetnuke.com.

 usually you simply obtain it from HTTPcontext.
