Hi Folks,

We add a lot of Flash multimedia movies to our DNN web sites. I have done some experimentation with basic communications between Flash movies and ASP.NET. I was considering how to duplicate the DNN menu system in Flash. Given the complexity and nuances of the DNN menu system it seems like it would be a major undertaking. I have two questions.

First has anyone created anything like a DNN menu system in Flash or been able to use Flash buttons to connect with the DNN menu system.

Second since Flash wasn’t exactly designed with ASP.NET or DNN in mind would it be wise to look at transitioning to SilverLight 3 and VS 2008 and MS Expression Studio 3.

Thanks,
G. M.

what you could do is pass in data for the menu as xml and render a menu from that in Flash. It should not be hard to pass in any data to a flash file...
