I am in process of developing a module that has a complex work flow behind it. From high level it could be some thing..

Screen1 - User enters some information .. click on button

Screen 2 - Screen1 will redirect user to Screen 2... User fills in some information here..

Screen 3 - From screen 3 user gets to this step. This has paginated lists or things like that.

One way could be to load ASCX controls at run time. But that would more bruteforce way of doing things and probably more cumbersome. Is there some DNN best prractice to deal with this kind of work flow. One of the solution I can think of in the same compiled module that I developed, have multiple ASCX for different views. But when I look at .dnn config file, I can't figure out how will DNN framework know about it.

Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, You have multiple choices over here:

If you don't want to digg into dnn navigation tricks just use multiview and add your wizard controls in views

If you want to do it in dnn way, add all your ascx controls with different keys with starting wizard step as key blank and use DotNeTNuke.Common.navigateurl  with control key to navigate back and forth to the wizard page. For mor information on module navigation and related techniques visit dnnhelp.adefwebserver.com it has greate newby totorials on module development
