Hi,

There are no errors while creating the module or while adding the module.

I am using vs 2008,dotnetnuke community edition 5.01.04 and sql server 2005.

I created a simple module by adding a folder called test to the Desktopmodules and added a webusercontrol to the test folder.

the code is as below

WebUserControl.ascx:

<%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="WebUserControl.ascx.cs" Inherits="DesktopModules_Test_WebUserControl" %>
<asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text="ID"></asp:Label>
<asp:TextBox ID="txtid" runat="server"></asp:TextBox><br />
<asp:Label ID="Label2" runat="server" Text="Name"></asp:Label>
<asp:TextBox ID="txtName" runat="server" style="margin-bottom: 0px"></asp:TextBox>
<asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Click" onclick="Button1_Click" />
<p>
    <asp:Label ID="lblmsg" runat="server" Text=" "></asp:Label>
</p>
<asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server">
</asp:GridView>

WebUserControl.ascx.cs

using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Web;
using System.Web.UI;
using System.Web.UI.WebControls;
using DotNetNuke;
using DotNetNuke.Security;
public partial class DesktopModules_Test_WebUserControl : DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase //System.Web.UI.UserControl
{
    protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {

    }
    protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
        lblmsg.Text = txtName.Text;
    }
}

I created the module successfully without any errors.But when i try to add the module in a page,the page is getting refreshed but the module as not seen.

Please help

Thanks

Prathibha

Hi , Pratibha

From code it's seems like are you missing NameSpace of your Module. Your module should be encapuaste in NameSpace. do you encapuaste your usercontrol in NameSpace?

Try this and also check all files are in proper hierchy.
