 Hi Folks,

Is it possible to give individual users access to a list of pages instead of using roles to do this? It’s not configurable right? It would require a programming or commercial module solution right?

Yes it is possible.  when you edit page/tab settings you can specify a username under the permissions section. And then copy permissions to decendants (if wanted)

I'm sure there is a 3rd party module that would make it easier to configure for multiple pages though.  It would be nice if you could do it through the User admin :) But that is a topic for another day.

Thanks Robert. Yes, it would be less cumbersome if handled via User admin. It might work for my customer. They have groups where all members will need to view a collection of pages. Roles should work for that. They also have some folks that need to view just some pages on various ad hoc criteria. I guess it will depend on how many of those folks they have. If there are only a few the individual page settings route should be OK. Thanks for the quick reply.
