Just wondering if you could share the solution, I am in a similar position where I am using DNN framework, and I am avoiding using ASP.AJAX due to it being so slow, and JQuery being best practice, especially since I plan to move to using MVC at some stage in the future.

I know this is an old thread but it seems when it comes to using jQuery for AJAX on DotNetNuke, every other thread on the internet says "Hey, go look over here! Baatezu has the answer!"

So, I’ve studied the code for days and I’m just not getting something because it’s not working for me. I even tried creating a new blank module and copy/pasting the suggested code exactly but no luck.

The test page with test module and source files are here…

http://dnn.StormSoft.com/jQueryAJAXTest.aspx

At the moment the module files are pretty much a direct copy of Baatezu’s code. What am I missing?

but i had change
X-OFFICIAL-REQUEST
to something else like
X-OFFICIAL-REQUEST-MINE
because it broke existing telerik? requests.

i also had to set
Response.ContentType = "text"
and
dataType: "text" -- this is what is expecting to be returned
else i got json parse errors.
