Hi,
I need some help in uploading files through a module I develop and will appreciate any insight.
The users of this module are consultants. Every consultant is reporting about his meetings.
The reports are in either a form (if it is a new report) or in rows in a gridview (if the consultant need to update his report)

The task is to let the consultants uploading files and identify not only who uploaded  the file, which is actually already done by me but also  get the fileid from the files table and pair it with the corresponding  report ID.
I have added a table called ConsultantsFiles that should link between the reportID (it takes them from the form or griddview on runtime) and the fileID  (from the files table)
The problem is that when the consultant uploads a file (with DNN upload mechanism) it is written as a row in the files table which does not have any field for me to refer to regarding my reporteID.
I thought of some ways of solving this including triggering the files table to add a new row in the ConsultantsFiles table and then adding the reportID to the new row (as I know it is the last row) but I think this is not a good way to do it since it is not absolute in case of 2 consultants adding files at the same time or almost the same time.

I will love to hear any ideas about this issue.

Oh, and one more thing, is it possible to set special folder for each consultant?

Thanks,
Yehuda
