Hi there,

i have a use case that I want to share with you as I'm not sure if the implementation is even possible in DotNetNuke.

I have created a DNN Module that connects to a second database to retrieve data that the Module processes and displays to the user in a given format.
So far, everything works fine.

What I would like to do now is provide a function in the Edit Module Settings that is automating the creation process of the second database so that once the module is placed on the page a database has to be created first so the module can work. The second database should be on the same server as the DNN database. After the creation of the database the user then can import data into the second database,e.g from an excel sheet.

I'm very thankful for any response or hint,
Cheers,
Christos

yes, this is possible, but not easy and you need to decide, how to access sql server, either using sql or management objects. I strongly suggest reading MSDN and a SQL Server Development Book.
