I know the admin controls have ways to look up users/roles using the cool dialog.  How can I put that in my module?

I remember raising this about a year ago for my Events module - it would be cool to have a UserPicker that could handle multiple selections/groups etc... would be nice if the core control was abstracted..

Seems like this would be a normal thing and they have "pickers" for things like that. Is this anything that can be reused?
