I currently have a small application in asp.net that I want to convert to a module in DotNetNuke. The application (one aspx page with a codebehind page) uses cookies to store the information that the visitor last entered on to the page and restores this info the next time the visitor opens the page saving them time to reset the page to their desired settings. Simple stuff.

Now I am assuming that in DNN that I should have the user log in and store that same information in the user's profile somewhere. Is this correct?

The advantage to that is that the user's settings will travel with them from computer to computer as they will be stored on the server.

Now in DNN, is there a feature that acts like cookies for logged in users or am I required to alter a table in the DB to do this? For example, is there a key/value table that I can just add and retrieve info to/from for each user?

Thanks.
