hi Everyone,
I have created a page with a datagrid on it. I wana create a link to customerid. so when user clicks on it, it should fill the edit page with customer related data.

I know how to create a link i have created that, my problem is how can i redirect user to that form.

because dotnetnuke 4 have this http://localhost/dnn4/testweb/Home/Category/tabid/71/Default.aspx kind of format for URL.

Basically i dont know how should i write the URL i mean should note down the TabID for the edit page. and put that in URL. e.g. resposen.write("EditCategory/tabid/72/Default.aspx"); like this.

Kindly tell me how can i make use of page names or module names to refer to them instead of using TabID's. As its really hard to remember which tabID is for what module.

Thanx

Take a look at the methods NavigateUrl and EditUrl. For example passing a tabid to navigateurl will build the correct url to go to that page. Any of the core modules use these methods extensively so you should have a lot of examples.
