I uploaded my DNN 4.0.2 application on to the production server. Since the production server is installed with 4.3.3, I saw some upgradation being done automatically, and finally, I got the message "Click here to access your portal"

Now I am getting the Default page of DNN 4.3.3, and NOT my application default page.

I tried to login as "admin", but I cannot see the menu options for Admin page......it just shows "A Critical error has occurred" and then other default modules of the default DNN 4.3.3 page.

I am struggling with this for the last few days. Anyone please reply me with some suggestions to overcome this.

I would like to explain the situation. The project was developed in DNN 4.0.2 (VS 2005, SQL Server 2005) some time ago. Now the latest version 4.3.3 has come up, and the production server is installed with this latest version.

When I uploaded my old project (developed in 4.0.2), and accessed the URL, the DNN Install worked, and it upgraded into the 4.3.3 or something.

Now its showing the page that we used to see when we first install DNN......cannot see my default page of the project.

I also cannot see the options for ADMIN module...when I login, it gives the popular message " A critical error have occured"

Were you able to login before you "uploaded your project"?

Probably gonna need more information to be able to assist. You keep mentioning "when I uploaded my project" , does this mean a custom module you developed using 4.0.2?

How did you install the module? As a package?

When you login and get the critical error, is it only where your module is running? Or can you access the event logs in DNN? They will provide a lot more detail about the "critical error"
