What's up all,
  Just wondering what the difference is between storing my custom module settings in the "TabModuleSettings" or "ModuleSettings" Tables?  Is one global and the other tab based?

Meaning if I store the settings in the ModuleSettings table, the setting will be the same no matter which tab I put the module on.  And if I store the settings in the TabModuleSettings the settings are unique to that tab?

What is the norm for storing settings?  Cause I have bought a few modules and where they should be storing the settings in the "ModuleSettings" table for individual page modules?  Are they not following "best practices"?

I have just started building custom modules over the past couple of weeks, before I get into a bad habit, I want to start following best practices.

I would assume it is supposed to follow what I described in my original post (modulesettings table = global, tabmodulesettings table = tab specific settings)
