I am having a problem with this entry. I have recently (yesterday) upgraded both my live site and my dev site to 4.3.5.

I have altered a custom module and when I upload it to my live site, the <CodeSubdirectory> tags are put into the web.config along with a code path to the module folder.

This has 2 effects.

1) If I delete the module from the site, it brings the whole web site down with a web.config error because it still has the codesubdirectory entry in there. If I remove this, the site comes back up.

2) If I remove the codesubdirectory entry from the web.config and upload the older version of the module, this tag doesn't get added.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is this new to 4.3.5 and if, so can anything be done so that removing the module doesn't bring the whole site down.

What I don't understand is why this entry only gets created with the modified module?

Regards

Mike

Just an addendum.

I have just deleted another custom module and re uploaded it and that now puts a codesubdirectory entry in.

After this point, if you delete the module, it breaks the site.

I would really appreciate someone from the core team commenting on this.

Is this new for 4.35? and if so, are there plans to fix the web.config (Web site breaking) issue when deleting the module from the web site.
