Hi all,

I want to develop a module which  should let users write something using the text / html module, and at the smae time give some metada about what they are writing like, the tags, the name of author, the technology about what they are writing, and may be some more things....

Later i should be able to rnder the text/html thing, as well that metadat information.

i can do this all with asp .net 2.0, but i want to use the DNN functionality, is it possible to use the DNN straightforward for such a kind of functionality.

I am really new to DNN, Please help or i won't be able to persue the DNN ever again

Any help  - article, or live demo will be appreciated....

Thanks and Regards,

Praveen

Have a look at these tutorials to get started with module building:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/509/Default.aspx

I believe when you say 'text/html thing' that you mean the 'rich text editor'.  The default rich text editor is the 'freetextbox' but you may use others (such as the FCKeditor [free] or the Telerik RAD editor [$$$])... use of them is done via a provider model so you can use just about any assuming the provider exists/is configured.

I'm not a guru yet but hopefully there's a few keywords to get you started.
