Hey.. I haven't touched DNN for a while, but now I need to move a module I made in 3.x to 4.0.2, can I just import the project, or will I have to re-do it from the ground up?

First of all, I'd go to 4.3.5 (or at least 4.0.3).

Secondly, it really depends on what your module is doing and what tables it touches.  Many modules work fine in 4.x.  The only way to tell is to install it on a dev box and see what happens.  My experience has been 95% work right out of the gate and the other 5% only need minor tweaks.  Personally, I haven't had to totally rebuild any modules, but I know a few developers have had to do that.  Just try it out and see.

I agree - don't use the 4.0.x versions - go straight to 4.3.5!

Most of my modules work fine in 4.x but I am rewriting them for VS2005 and C# 2.0 using the WAP project model - I'm loving it to be honest - productivity is so much higher, but this depends on your viewpoint - I am a Module Developer so I need to be able to be as productive as possible... on the other hand - if it's not broken....
