Hi

I would like to load data from an external source into the DNN database, whats the best approach for forward compatability ? Does anyone know if there is an API for this ? Does anyone have any experience to share ?

Thanks!

Can you be more specific on what you are trying to accomplish?  What kind of data?  What tables are affected?  Is it a one time load or a job that needs to be scheduled?  Any specifics would help.

thnks for reply, im looking at starting with contact data that "should be" a nice area to start with ?

I have a back office system i need to schedule loads from, i have writeen a client that can post the file to the webserver, where ill writr a script to receive it then translate it to the form dnn expects, but i need to know if its possible to use an api for forward compatability, i dont really wanna have to keep rewriting it each version as column names or db rules change...but maybe thats the only way
