I want to get into programing and I figured DNN Modules would be a good place to head since I use it daily anyway, but I'm not sure exactly where to start.  What should I learn and in what order?  Do I need to learn VB and ASP.Net seperately or will they both be together.  How much SQL do I need to know.  Thanks in advance for helping a Noob.

I would watch all the free videos from Microsoft for VBnet and ASP.net and then check out the DotNetNuke Statrter Kit.

Thanks for the reply but it doesn't realy answer the questions.

Videos are good ,but when there is so many, which one do I start with?

You need to know some VB.Net, some ASP.Net and some SQL Server. You might want to look at Michael Washington's site for module development to see what is involved.

First make shure you know VB.NET
then do *SOME* ASP.NET, not to much as you would need to unlearn to much. Just enough so you think you understand how it all works
then go to michael washingtons tutorials.

In a week you should be able to build a module that works and uses all of DNN's features

as you delve deeper and deeper in DNN you will learn more, before you know it you know the entire ASP.NET pipeline (might take 2 years ;-) )

The most important thing is to build lots of small software. You will learn the fastest that way
